They are doing well. Out of curiosity, I researched what happened to the dolphins and how everything was done. Thankfully, the Koreans did not release the dolphins without a plan. A very careful team of scientists made sure they can catch fish on their own before they were released. And so many other precautions were taken. Now this Jeju dophin release case became a golden standard/protocol for releasing an aquarium dolphin. I was very glad to find this out.

Not very likely. Since they do not have a pod, they do not have the skills needed to survive and have lived for 20 years in captivity. Rehabilitation and release only work if the animal was recently made captive and the only thing it was trained do was to survive in the wild.

@Budget Boost DIY I am no expert but I am pretty sure doing that would have really bad consequences in the long run
@presentmic3605
@presentmic3605 4 жыл бұрын
@Budget Boost DIY the problem arent the big chunky parts, well they are but more of a problem are the mircoplastic parts which seperate from chunks of plastic after a while and these are toxic and kill the sea live over a longer period of time. We have to bond plastic in such way that is stays in a brick and nothing leaks out. Melting it into or with something that keeps it stable. Plastic parts are like glass for humans, they kill pretty much fast when they are eaten or swallowed. Microplastic is more like nuclear radiation over a looong period of time, it kills you slower and maybe destroys your dna structure so your reproduction is endangered.

I am glad Koreans are really nice and released the dolphins back into the wild. Not everyone is so kind, and while these two dolphins are freed, there are many which are still held captive. You know this was possible because of a lack of animal welfare laws on the country? They looked for these dolphins months after their release by following different local pods and in close areas and never found them back so it is quite probably they actually died.
@dennisk1316

@@tursiopss These dolphins are freed because some Korean sued the zoo for the nature protection and Korea court judged to free the dolphins with training survival in the nature. so, the zoo moved the dolphins by air to the island where they caught. And they trained some day in the nest and freed. Many Korean are interested in this issue and I saw some news that the dolphins joined the dolphin group and swimming near the island. I heard the zoo had a person monitoring the dolphins whether they are well living. The zoo is very big company. I shed tears with this news.

This is just suggestion, I hope when they released the dolphins, they should find Wild Same breed of dolphins so this dolphins can catch up?! I think?! because I am really worried about them.. what if there ia a shark or predators that they don't know how defend themselves. 😢

human society is broken and corrupt. dolphin society is natural and flurishing. Their currency is fish. Do not compare them to us. Because eventually it will be the dolphins that teach humanity to be telepathic.

This was done very wrong. Those dolphins were never seen again although there were some projects done to look for them. This is not how you should rehab an animal. There are no laws on animal welfare in Asia which is why anybody can really go and buy those dolphins and send them to the sea having no idea at all about what they are doing and then end up causing more damage than help to the animals

Dolphins have brought human wealth for 20 years. However, 20 years later, the aged dolphin was thrown out into the sea. It's not a good story. From the beginning to the end, it's human convenience.

Dolphins, depending on their breed, can live up to 40 years in captivity so no, they werent released because of old age.
@gmrr21
@gmrr21 4 жыл бұрын
Your statement doesn’t make sense, it was not old at all. And if it was because of any financial gain or loss I highly doubt they would have made such a project to transport, acclimate, and give a proper goodbye for it to live its best life. Isn’t that what you crazy people want? If its in captivity is bad, if its released its also bad. You people don’t make sense anymore.

Ah yes, the hypocritical human. Humans are terrible! We eat animals, we breed animals for food, we domesticate animals as pets for our pleasure, make them work for us, use them for transport... how terrible! You idiots are so dumb. Get mad for better reasons like at people who are cruel to them or hunt endangered ones. Get off your moral high horse.
