I am choked up by the extreme physical and emotional misery that was evident. With that much extra weight, his already labored breathing - due to his breed - would have been even further compromised. I am surprised he wasn't even more lethargic - and found myself wishing that he'd had a c-pap to provide him some relief. I'm glad that the dog (or, owner) seems to be improving - but, my goodness - this was distressing to watch.
