Well it is indeed repetition training, but he also takes cues from the owner. He looks for where he points, what faces he makes when the near or far to the objected he was asked to fetch etc. It's rare to see such a highly trained dog is rural areas though, that's cool. And he did really well on his IQ test.

@@anaalina5964 I think it’s a mixed of both, cuz it’s was shown in another episode that later on, the owner raised another dog which is his wife. She saw he was being praised and rewarded while bringing the stuffs so she also tried to do that as well, but she brought the wrong items most of the time 😂.

To me .. this shows that the dog has true intelligence, he can problem-solve and come up with a solution .. he is not just obeying a command, he is THINKING for himself!

Even then, the dog only understands key words. Probably "write".

I had a Golden Retriever called Chauvain. 😃 I took him from a farm when he was not yet 7 weeks old. 💗 Within 9 days he stopped pooping inside my house and he was crying when he had to pee, even if when he was small he couldn't keep it for more than 5 minutes. 😃😅💗 He was so tiny and adorable.. 😃 Being a puppy I let him sleep in my bed but after he was 3 months old, I try to let him sleep separately in his place.. 😃 I woke up and he was in my bed next to me, then looked innocent and came in my arms! 💗 He loved long hugs and sometimes just asking for a hug! 😃 If I was too tired or something, he would change his look and cry.. 😮😔💗 Once when he was about a year old, I was walking outside with him and we came across a stroller with a very small baby, probably not even 6 months old! 😃 Chauvain layed down and started crawling, while ME AMAZED, just staring at him.. What does he do? 😃💗😅 The woman with the baby "you taught him well" and me "umm huh" but still staring at my dog what he was doing.. 🤣 Then close to the little baby, still crawling, bended his head on a side and let the baby touch him.. The woman passed him by, and he was still lying down while I was speechless! 🤣🤣🤣 Did I mention all this time I said nothing to the dog?? 😮😁😅 He did all this by himself. 😮😅💗 Many Golden Retriever and Labrador dogs are so intelligent like this. 💗💗💗

I agree. Happiness is very intelligent because he is very happy. He and his dad are very close and they connect well with each other.

Labs do certainly have a habit of being smart. We had a black lab like this that thought she was a person. So she saw no reason shouldn't be able to let herself in and out - through the sliding glass patio door. It also worth noting that the smartest dogs I've met have always had owner with high expectations. They don't use baby talk with their dog, just regular words. It elevates what the dog can really do, and makes the owner more aware of the possibilities..

They wouldn't have been useful for hunting if they didn't easily understand context that Humans taught them.
