I believe the dog is happy where he is. Otherwise, he wouldn't made the trip back. He appears he wants to be a military dog. The fella is very smart.

Ikr. Since there's a lot of strays in my country, we have self assigned stary guard dogs around. They keep the neighborhood, businesses safe or keep guard with actual guards lol

Probably got bored with its original owner keeping him on a short chain and no exercise or attention 24/7 and preferred to live on the military base where he gets attention and a good physical workout daily.... smart doggie 😂🤣😂

Collie was like Sergeant Stubby,I watched the movie based on a true story,he was a short brindle bull terrier mutt ,a greatest wardog in history , hero of World War I...keep it up Collie!
