Un suricate n'a rien à faire en appartement. C'est un animal sauvage, il doit rester en liberté. Honte à cet homme qui l'a pris et le tient en laisse, même si c'est pour le sauver il faut le remettre en liberté

As cute as they are, they are not ment to be pets and are supposed to live in groups.

@@SayHiToNyz it CLEARLY knows how to forage for its food. This particular type of animal is naturally trusting of humans and doesn't need to be domesticated. Leave it in the wild with his kind and enjoy them there. They are like ducks, friendly if you offer them food.

I hace 2 meercats but since they turned 1 year old, they bite people they don’t know ..my meerkats are free in my home …do you have suggestions for training my girls ❤

These should NOT be kept in captivity. They don't need to be domesticated and tamed like other animals, they are naturally trusting to humans. People selfishly keep all kinds of animals in thier homes with them thinking the animal needs them. This animal clearly doesn't. It knows how to dig for food. This little guy's in particular enjoy and NEED to burrow underground. Taking away thier form of excercise and intertainment is just selfish.

All animals were made for humans. Nothing wrong with having an unusual pet.

@@gsa2121 Animals weren't "made for humans", they have existed for longer than humans in their own right, & for their own interests. To take a meerkat from its own kind & natural environment, & keep it as a prisoner in solitary confinement, is worse than doing the same to a human. It is the definition of cruelty, & comes from a criminal trade in exotic animals when many die.

@@gsa2121 You have psychic powers & can speak meerkat? What does it do on its own in a plexiglass prison the other 23 hours a day? Meerkats should be with meerkats in Africa. Social animals. Don't do exotic pets, it's not good for them. A terrible trade in which millions die before even finding a home, just like the Transatlantic slave industry was.

@@jonahwhale9047 you're wrong. That owner is outside half the day. He even said it's exhausting cuz he has to be outside all the time. But he loves his meerkat and it loves him. Point is the animal is happy. If he wasn't he would run away simple as that

It's cruel to take meerkats out of their natural environment & keep it on its own. They are highly active & social animals. In the wild, they would be in groups of 30 or 40. Most come originally from illegal pet trade closing to criminal networks in which many die. They are not meant to be human property, & not good pets. Many suffer due to ignorant owners with unsuitable environments. In the wild, they'd travel many km a day. Bad to promote.

Stop promoting the often illegal exotic pet trade, & start criticizing it. Taking wild animals out of their natural environment, away from their own species is cruelty that often drives them mentally ill & leads to other health problems due to a lack of specialist care. Meerkats do not exist for human pleasure or profit.

No, not all animals are meant to be pets. Animals that humans already domesticated are now meant to be pets. Let the remaining animals stay as free as possible.

@@gsa2121 It is animal cruelty to take a wild animal out of its natural environment, away from its own species, & denying it its natural activity. Wake up. Taking a meerkat out of Africa & keeping it in a wooden box, is as cruel one of those perverts who buys or kidnaps girls, & keeps them in underground basements. It literally drives them mad.
